Pumpkin Patch Fun

What a beautiful, fall day for a trip to the pumpkin patch. Not cold or rainy... JUST right!

Here Lance is telling Chase about all of the pumpkins.... Love this!

Daisy got to come along too, and was in heaven.
Chase pushing the wagon, for a very short time before he started crawling and trying to put things in his mouth!
"Hey guys, I found one right over here!" Lance says "you guys" ALL the time. "I'm alright guys.... excuse me guys.....referring to Keegan and I.
 Chase found a pumpkin too!

The animals were a big hit.
Especially for Daisy. She was ready to squeeze through this fence to get those ducks. LOL!

Lance was very interested in this cat. He kept following it around "it's OK little kitty"
Chase, again... anything in the mouth

First Field Trip

Lance has been soooo excited for a couple of weeks now for his first bus ride and field trip - to the pumpkin patch of course! Since I am STILL looking for a job I had the chance to join in the COLD, RAINY fun! And Chase spent some quality time with Grandma Connie.

After an hour wait, yes hour, FINALLY the kids were crazy and ready to get on the bus! During that time Lance had a major meltdown because I let a friend borrow and extra hat of Lance's that I had in the car.... Lance wasn't too excited about sharing his hat. UGH, the sharing word!!!! Tips, tricks, etc. are welcome, PLEASE. Then another meltdown because he rushed on the bus, forgetting he wanted to sit with Ben and when he finally remembered he wanted to sit with Ben, that seat was already full.... not a happy camper!

Searching for the perfect little pumpkin - hurry, hurry.

Hungry little crew, time for lunch!

Sick Day

Both boys have that time of the season cough and runny nose, etc. and Chase also woke up with a nasty rash.... so I decided it was a good day to keep Lance home and just hang out. A good old sick day. Easy to do since I am not yet working...... Although it ended up being much busier and not as laid back as the sick days I used to remember!

Just hanging out in our PJ's with all the stuffed animals.

Then covering up Mommy and making her cozy! And cozy I was!
We had to wait to build towers and buildings until Chase took a nap, because all he wants to do is knock the towers down.
The icky rash, from head to toe...... which made us change out of our jammies and go to the Dr.to get checked out.
And this is what happens when Mom tried to get something done and fold laundry. I heard him and saw him playing with the pans.... and then I look over and he is just hanging out in the oven drawer.... oh dear!
Needless to say, there was not dinner on the table when Dad got home and the laundry was not folded either!

Chase's Birthday Party Fun

A couple weeks late, after finding a date that worked into most everyone's schedule, we celebrated Chase's first birthday! It was quite the household full of guests...... I think I counted 30 total. I underestimated a bit on the food (sorry guests!) First time planning for this many, and at breakfast time! Lesson learned. Kids like donuts and donut holes :) And never try a new pinterest recipe for the first time at a big event. The little cupcake omelets were great, but the recipe didn't make enough!

Ah well! A great time had by all!

The Invite for the Mickey themed party!

 Decorations.
Opening Presents. He did SOOOOO good. Sat on my lap for ALL the presents, and there were quite a few.
Big brother helped of course and sped things right along! :-)
Mom dropped the Mickey candle and busted the ear and foot. Then burnt her fingers trying to keep it together for the song...... Chase was amused.
Not too into the cupcake business though.
Lance, however made the cupcake mess for his brother while Mom and Dad were pre-occupied! NICE
Mom and Dad with the birthday boy!

and Grammy and GiGi (Great Grandmas)
 and Aunt Gail
 and Cousin Cameron
This is what Lance thought of pictures on this fun filled, action packed day! But he sure does love his "buddy" Uncle Bryon.
One of my favorite captures of the day. Grammy and Lance playing with Lance's new super hero's he got from Uncle Bryon and family!
And that's a wrap! So hard to believe one year has passed, just like that! Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate all of the memories of Chase's first year of life!

ONE 1 year update

Again, a little behind. And still haven't gotten all the pictures I want... oh, do I miss neighbor Jerry and his amazing pictures!!! :-(  But, better get on with what I have before he turns 2!

Pictures first and then the update. One of my favorites!

My little blue eyed, blond boy!

The attempt with the name blocks, that I still want to give another try.
 He claps ALL the time!
Watch out, I am a FAST crawler

 Staring into space.
 His little mischievous grin.

 "MOM, stop this madness!!!!"
At ONE - 1 year YOU:

  • Cover your eyes and face and play peek a boo! It is the cutest thing ever. "Where's Chase?" It sometimes takes several minutes for you to take your hands off your eyes and face for us to say "there he is!"
  • Clap whenever we say "YAY" You also start clapping when we start singing if you're happy and you know it
  • Will sway and dance when we sing or music comes on.
  • LOVE LOVE LOVE Mickey Mouse. When you see him or hear his voice you light up!
  • Still sign and know when you are ALL done with anything. You still don't have the more sign down, but will say ma, ma for more. And you say ma when you want your water or milk too.
  • Like to drink from a straw. Which is very convenience for dining out!
  • do NOT like to have hats on..... UGH! Frustrating for Mom.
  • Eat like a champ. Your favorites are all fruits and yogurt melts. You have also tried juice a couple of times and really seem to like that. But we aren't buying that to have at the house quite yet. Lance doesn't like it still, so we'll stick to milk and water for now.
  • Go to bed between 6:45 and 7. And sleep until 7 ish. Most nights.... You MUST have your pacifiers - all 4 of them! one for your mouth, one for each hand, and a spare for when the others fall out of the crib in the middle of the night.
  • Have almost given up that last nighttime bottle. You only drink a few ounces, so we are almost done with bottles... sad and happy all at the same time.
  • Are so close to walking! You took several steps on your own at your birthday party, so I think we're getting close.
  • Want to be everywhere your brother is, but he doesn't want you to be everywhere he is all the time. Sometimes he likes to share and look out for you and other times he wants you nowhere near. Hopefully that will soon pass.
  • Are a CLIMBER for sure. Watch out Mom and Dad...
  • Are an amazingly happy little guy. You smile and giggle so much and bring a lot of life and happiness to our every day.
